List of Citrus Fruits

Grown in the tropical regions of the world, citrus fruits are known to have many healthy benefits. From a high dosage of Vitamin C to detoxifying power, most citrus fruits can either be consumed by eating the raw fruit or by squeezing it to make juice.

    Oranges

  1. There are three main types of oranges: naval, Valencia and blood oranges. One orange contains nearly two-thirds of the recommended daily intake of Vitamin C.
  2. Kumquats

  3. Kumquats grow on a bush that averages 4 feet tall. They have an edible skin which makes the fruit more tart than sweet.
  4. Grapefruit

  5. Grapefruits resemble large oranges and come in five different types: white (orange in color), red, minneola, pummelo and sweety. The red grapefruit is the type that is the sweetest.
  6. Mandarins

  7. Mandarins are small oranges that are really sweet. They have a loose skin so they are easy to peel and eat.
  8. Lemon

  9. This little yellow fruit contains a strong, tart juice that is used for detoxifying the body. Lemon juice is very acidic.
  10. Lime

  11. Limes are similar to the shape and size of lemons. They are green in color and more acidic. Limes are the most cultivated fruit in the tropics.
