Fun Learning Games for Kids Online
Games have always been an excellent way for children to learn reading, writing, math and other subjects because they make education fun. There are a variety of free learning games available for kids online.

Jig Zone offers hundreds of puzzles at a wide variety of difficulty levels (see Resources). Kids can choose the picture and the number of pieces and race the clock as they drag the puzzle pieces to the correct places on the screen and watch the image form.
Scholastic Kids

Scholastic offers over 100 different games, including writing games, arcade games and puzzles (see Resources). Scholastic is a children's publishing and education company, and there is a strong emphasis on literacy in its games.

PBS Kids has a myriad of games featuring characters from the popular TV show, "Aruthur" (see Resources). These games include a "Groovy Garden," "Lunch-o-Matic" and "Supermarket Adventure," all of which encourage matching, reading and problem-solving skills.

Up to Ten features over 1,000 learning games for children from 1 to 10 years of age (see Resources). Activities include coloring, coordinating and racing games. Although a subscription will upgrade access on the site, there are many free games available.
