For New Plants
-
When you place new plants in the ground they need good soil to develop a good root base and growth pattern. Placing topsoil in the hole and around the base of the plant will help with this.

Starting Seeds
-
Topsoil is an ideal medium for starting seeds. It provides good quality soil and is easily transferred to the ground with the seed once it sprouts.
Flower Bed
-
As seasons change, flower beds can erode and bulbs can push out of the dirt, Adding a layer of topsoil will save you from having to replant all of them.
Grass Seeding
-
Placing topsoil in the area where you are planting grass will help give it a good start and to ensure that it develops a good root base. This loose unpacked soil is perfect for grass growing and will eventually blend into the soil in your lawn improving it as well.
