Aesthetic lasers are quickly growing in popularity both across the United States as well as throughout the world. Aesthetic lasers have been developed that can remove unwanted hair, rejuvenate skin, reduce unwanted cellulite, correct imperfect vision, whiten and brighten teeth, and remove unwanted tattoos. Many individuals see longevity in the aesthetic laser business and are searching for a way to become a part of it. The first step in getting involved in the aesthetic laser field is laser therapy training.

    Function

  1. Laser therapy training is designed to teach men and women about the history of aesthetic lasers, the difference between lasers and what each type is used to treat, laser safety protocols, and proper administration of the various laser treatments.
  2. Types

  3. Aesthetic laser types include: Alexandrite, Nd: YAG, Diode, CO₂, Q-Switch, Erbium and IPL. Each uses laser light in a unique way to provide different aesthetic results.
  4. Geography

  5. Regulations differ between states for the administration of aesthetic laser treatments. Knowing your specific state regulations will allow you to see if you are eligible to treat patients with laser therapy.
  6. Features

  7. Laser therapy training courses range from 1 day to a full week. Typically the more laser devices you learn about, the longer you will be there. During the training course students will experience both classroom work and hands-on training.
  8. Considerations

  9. Accreditation for laser training facilities is very strict which means that there are only a small number of training centers throughout the country. It is more than likely that students will have to travel to attend classes.
