- Your online banking site will guide you through prompts to develop a list of payees. Everything you need, including payee name, address and telephone number and your account number, is on your bill.
- Online bill paying options allow you to make a one-time payment or recurring payments. Recurring payments are good for fixed expenses such as rent or mortgage.
- Online bill paying also allows you to set a delivery date. Make it at least two days in advance of the due date to be safe.
- Once you set up an online payment, you can edit or delete it if you choose this option before processing begins. If the payment is in process but has not been delivered, you may still be able to stop it by calling your bank.
- The balance in your account must be sufficient to cover all the online payments you set up. Non-sufficient funds will result in fees if payments are processed.
