What Is Shikai?

The name "Shikai" actually comes from the word "Shikakai." This was a plant that was used in a shampoo because it had a low pH and good cleansing properties. An extract of this plant was then used to form Shikai, which became the base for body care products and also the name of a company. Does this Spark an idea?

    • Shikai was originally started in the early 1970s by Dr. Dennis T. Sepp and Dr. Vasant Telong. It is now run by Jason Sepp who is the GM and president.

    Types

    • Shikai has a number of different products, including facial creams, hand soaps, shampoos, conditioners and bath gels.

    • Shikai products are made with all natural botanicals and ingredients. Each product has specific blends of ingredients that are designed with specific focuses such as dry skin, for example.
