    Licensing Status

    • Real estate agents must identify their licensing status on their advertising. They must state if they are a broker or sales licensee.

    Warning

    • Advertising must not be misleading--it should be a fair representation of what is being sold.

    Function

    • All advertising for housing must contain a Fair Housing logo.

    Types

    • Certain types of language should not be used in the advertising of a real estate agent. This includes verbage that discriminates in regards to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, handicap or familial status.

    Features

    • When mentioning detailed mortgage terms real estate agents must comply with Regulation Z guidelines. Vague terms such as "terms available" are allowed.
