Types of Nursing Specialties

One of the benefits of the nursing profession is the wide array of specialties available in which nurses can excel. Those who prefer the excitement of emergency can find their niche in a cardiac unit or emergency room, while those who prefer to work with children can find a fulfilling career in pediatric nursing. Once you've received a general Registered Nursing (RN) license, look for training and work assignments to develop experience in a specialty.
