Where to Find Supplies to Build a Tree House

It seems that every child, at one point or another, wants to have his very own tree house, a place where he and his friends can get away from their parents and read their comics in peace. While kids love the idea of having a tree house, adults usually cringe at the idea of building one. Thankfully, it's not that hard to find the supplies that are needed to build a quality tree house.

Your Home

Many people who build tree houses use recycled materials, usually found around their own home. You may finally have a use for that unused window frame in your shed.

Lowe's

Every tree house needs a sturdy frame and support system. These are usually made out of steel, and Lowe's is always stocked with metal supports for various projects.

Home Depot

Home Depot is an excellent place to pick up the wood for your tree house.

Wal-Mart

There is little point in building a tree house if you don't properly protect it from the elements. Waterproofing agents are available at many places, but Wal-Mart will save you money.

Sears

Sears is a great place if you need to pick up any tools for your project that you don't already own.
