What Causes Hair Growth?

Hair is just one of the three elements that is part of the Integrumentary System (the organ that controls the growth of hair, skin and nails). The Integrumentary System is the largest organ of the body and is in a constant growth state. This produces hair growth. Hair loss is experienced when the hair is growing at a much slower rate than it is falling out. Hair growth, as in length retention, is seen when the growing rate is higher than the falling out rate. There are certain things that can be done to help the Integrumentary System speed up the hair growth rate. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Proper Diet

    • The Integrumentary Systems uses a great deal of the body's nutrients; if nutrients are low, the rate in which hair grows becomes slow. Providing proper nutrition to the body is imperative to having the Integrumentary System operating at it optimum rate.

    Antioxidants and Cleansing

    • Free radicals and toxins pollute the body and slow down many of the regular functions, including the growth of hair. Cleansing the system and providing the body with antioxidants flush out the toxins and provide a safe environment.

    Vitamins

    • Vitamins help to nourish the system. Vitamin A, B complex, D, E, biotin and iron are good vitamins to take when trying to grow hair.

    Water

    • Water helps the body in many ways. It helps to grow hair by carrying the vitamins to necessary parts of the body and keeping the scalp hydrated.

    Proper Hair Care

    • No matter what you put on the inside of your body, if you don't take care of the hair, it will not grow healthy. Try different types of conditioners and stay away from harsh chemicals.
