Diabetes is characterized by the body's inability to metabolize and utilize insulin properly. In children, Type 1 Diabetes is the most common type diagnosed, and the most serious. Detecting diabetes early is important for maintaining a healthy life, and it is especially important to identify diabetes in children. Here are the most common symptoms of Type 1 Diabetes in children.

    Thirst

  1. Thirst that cannot be satiated is a common symptom of Type 1 Diabetes in children.
  2. Frequent Urination

  3. Frequent urination is present in children showing the symptoms of Type 1 Diabetes. This usually accompanies the symptoms of thirst.
  4. Weight Loss

  5. Sudden and unexplained weight loss in a child is a symptom of Type 1 Diabetes, and is typically the most common way that parents detect Type 1 Diabetes in children.
  6. Yeast Infections
