An outdoor Venus flytrap can feed itself and catch its own insects. Growing a Venus flytrap indoors means having to feed it a proper diet by providing insects for your plant.

Proper Watering

Clean or distilled water is very important for the health of a Venus flytrap, therefore for watering, distilled water should always be used. Extra calcium and chlorine in tap water can build up on plant soil and eventually kill a Venus flytrap.

Types

Venus flytraps eat only small insects and bugs. Small larvae can also be eaten by these plants.

Warning
