Plenty of work at home opportunities exist for those who are at home full time with children. Some of them require set blocks of time for work to be conducted, while others can be conducted during flexible hours that are more convenient for the worker.

    Function

  1. Jobs that have been outsourced to online workers include call center, data entry and telemarketing jobs.
  2. Significance

  3. Outsourcing work to employees who work over the Internet saves companies from having to spend money for large facilities where workers can perform their jobs.
  4. Types

  5. Internet work can be found through companies that routinely hire through their websites, including West, Arise and TeleTech (see Resources).
  6. Considerations

  7. Moms with special skills, such as medical transcription, academic writing or tutoring, can find jobs on the Internet performing those tasks.
  8. Warning

  9. While many Internet jobs are real, there are also some scams out there. Some work at home jobs do require the prospective employee to pay for a company to perform a background check, but other fees to start work usually mean a scam.
