Symptoms of High Blood Pressure in Men

Hypertension (high blood pressure) is a common medical condition in men 45 years and older. Certain factors such as lack of exercise, obesity, poor diet and hormonal changes can contribute to high blood pressure. The following symptoms are associated with hypertension in men.

Fatigue and Confusion

Severe fatigue can be associated with high blood pressure. High blood pressure can also cause memory issues such as confusion.

Andropause

Men who suffer from andropause (male menopause) also suffer from high blood pressure. Andropause is caused by a shift or loss in male hormones (testosterone).

Erectile Dysfunction

Men who experience erectile dysfunction usually have high blood pressure. There is a strong correlation between men who suffer from high blood pressure and erectile dysfunction (due to circulation and blood flow issues).

Dizziness and Shortness of Breath

High blood pressure can cause dizziness. Shortness of breath is also associated with high blood pressure.
