Geography
-
The fireworks at the Magic Kingdom are centered over Cinderella Castle. Main Street is the ideal viewing spot, though Liberty Square offers a less crowded area with some good views as well.
Types
-
The regular fireworks display is titled "Wishes." For holidays such as the 4th of July and New Years Eve, "Fantasy in the Sky" takes place.
-
Special Events
-
For after-hours events--such as the Pirate and Princess Party, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween--a special fireworks display takes place, themed for the event.
Timing
-
The regular fireworks display occurs almost every night, usually within 2 hours of closing time, provided that the park hours extend past sunset. Specific times should be confirmed with a cast member on the day of your visit.
Considerations
-
If there is rain or other inclement weather, fireworks may be canceled or certain characters may not take part in the show.
Features
-
"Wishes" is a fireworks display coordinated with music and hosted by the voice of Jiminy Cricket. Pyrotechnics and other special effects come together to make a truly spectacular show.
