About Online Interactive Home Schooling

Home schooling, in general, can be costly, time consuming and confusing for the average parent. Starting from registering your child with the state, to buying the proper material for the grade appropriate, required curriculum, to your child's unsupportive educational experience, the whole process can be tedious. There's a new opportunity for parents who are affected by the home school blues; it's in online interactive education.

  1. Cost

    • Online educational portals, like K¹², offer public schooling straight from your child's finger tips at home. Books and learning equipment are provided new and free for all.

    Choices

    • With comprehensive core subjects offered virtually, both public and private school institutions have a curriculum and parents can register their children in their schools of choice. There are tuition rates for private school admission; it's the same way online.

    No Government Lengthy Process

    • When home schooling a child, a parent must register that child, legally, with the state they reside in. To eliminate the paperwork, K12 registers the child with his resident state, and, while enrolled, updates the state on the progress of the child, which is mandatory.

    Instruction

    • With online interactive education, there is preparation for the state efficiency exams, that every teacher, student and parent alike may dread. For those who are financially disadvantaged, the government loans new computers with compatible learning accessories.

    Support System

    • Families whose children learn online are part of a community, and may meet up offline, locally, for socializing and creative learning. Some schools even provide the email address and contact information for all students and parents, to each enrolled family.
