What Hardware Do I Need for Wireless Internet?

Setting up wireless Internet in your home gives you flexibility to enjoy all your Internet-enabled devices in locations where they are most convenient. While a wireless Internet connection is not difficult to set up, it is helpful to be sure you have all the hardware before getting started.

Cabling

It is important to verify the few cables you will need to establish your wireless Internet. There are several cables needed to connect your high-speed modem and your router. Refer to your user manual for more details.

High-Speed Modem

A high-speed modem is required to establish a wireless Internet connection. These devices are typically included for free with high-speed Internet plans, but if you don't have one, contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Router
