  1. The frame and doors for the Porsche Cayenne actually come from the Volkswagen Touareg, and the Cayenne is available with a Volkswagen engine.

  3. The base model of the Cayenne accelerates from zero to 60 in 7.5 seconds, and the Turbo S accelerates in 4.7 seconds, the fastest of any Cayenne model.
  4. Trans Siberian Rally

  5. The Trans Siberian Rally, an off-roading race that is considered the ultimate challenge for cars, was actually the inspiration behind the Cayenne S Trans Siberian model, which went on sale in February 2009.

  7. The base model of the Cayenne starts at $45,000, and the Turbo S starts at $124,800, with the rest of the models falling within that range.
  8. History

  9. The Porsche Cayenne was first sold in 2003 and is the only vehicle to feature a V8 engine in the Porsche line. Since then, the only models added have been the S Trans Siberian model.
  10. Future

  11. Porsche has announced a hybrid Cayenne available in regular, S and Turbo models that is expected to be sold in 2009.
