Engineered hardwood flooring looks just like solid hardwood. Engineered hardwood flooring is made up of from 3 to 7 layers that are laminated together. They are available in either strips or planks, and in parquet patterns as well.

  3. Engineered hardwood flooring is made in alternating lengthwise and widthwise layers, making it resistant to expansion and contraction, which cause floors to warp.

  7. Engineered hardwood floors come with warranties of up to 25 years, depending on the manufacturer and whether or not the floors are pre-finished.

  9. Engineered hardwood floors are very low maintenance, never needing to be sanded. They only need to be refinished a couple of times over their life span.
