    Vinegar Rinse

  1. Apple cider vinegar contains active compounds that have both antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties that help sooth and help heal the inflammations and infections associated with this condition. Mix equal parts apple cider vinegar and water, and rinse your hair with the solution, gently massaging it into your scalp.
  2. Essential Oils

  3. Pour one cup of olive oil into a bowl. Add one drop of oregano oil and two drops calendula oil. Massage the oil mixture into the scalp and shampoo as usual. Rinse with a solution of equal parts apple cider vinegar and water.
  4. Sunshine

  5. Expose the affected areas to sunlight, which tends to relieve psoriasis. Take care to protect the unaffected skin with sunscreen or clothing to minimize skin cancer risk.
  6. Dead Sea Salt

  7. Regularly rinse your scalp with a mild solution of one tablespoon of Dead Sea salts and 2 quarts of water. Alternatively, mix 1 tablespoon of Dead Sea salts with your regular shampoo.
  8. Olive Oil

  9. Warm 1/4 cup olive oil and massage it into your scalp at night. Shampoo as usual in the morning. Alternatively, combine equal parts garlic oil and aloe vera gel, massage this into your scalp at night, and shampoo as usual in the morning.
  10. Buttermilk

  11. Soak a washcloth in buttermilk and apply this directly to your scalp. It also helps to include buttermilk as a regular part of your diet.
