Natural Methods for Whitening Skin
Many people feel the need to have whiter skin, whether to balance out the pigment from uneven coloring or simply to affect an etiolated look. With the emphasis on athleticism in modern society, many people find it difficult to maintain paler skin if they're outside a lot. There are some simple natural remedies, however. Does this Spark an idea?
-
Sunscreen
-
Using a sunscreen every day will naturally make your skin appear paler over time. As you shed the tanned skin cells, the protected skin beneath will not tan. Many people are paler naturally in winter time due to lack of sun exposure. If you're a sports fanatic, use sunscreen that's at least SPF15 and water and sweat repellent.
Oranges
-
Dry orange peels. When they're fully dry, grind them into a powder and add enough milk to make a paste. Use the paste daily to see whitening results.
-
Almonds
-
Soak almonds for a day in a bowl of water. Peel the almonds and grind them to a fine powder. Add enough honey to make a paste that spreads easily. Apply to your skin and let set until it dries.
Lemon Juice
-
A natural bleaching agent, lemon juice can be applied daily to the skin. It can, however, be quite harsh, so test a patch on the inside of your elbow before trying this method. Apply lemon juice to your skin and let dry fully before rinsing off.
Potatoes
-
Also a natural bleaching agent, rub potatoes on your skin to reduce pigmentation. Let dry fully before rinsing off.

How long to you have to keep applying the lemon juice? I have been trying it for a little while now and am not seeing any results. Also, are these remedies strictly for use on your face? Can i use them on my arms, legs, hands, etc?
