First-Class Mail is the most popular choice for mailing letters. Prices start at 42 cents and vary based on shape of the envelope and weight. After May 11, 2009, the price will be 44 cents.
Express Mail Rates

Express Mail is for mail that needs to get there overnight. Prices start from $13.05 and vary based on weight and distance. Flat rate envelopes are available. No increase for Express Mail rates is expected.

Priority Mail Rates

Priority Mail is used when you want it there fast, but not necessarily overnight; mail arrives within 1 to 3 days. Prices start at $4.95 and vary based on weight and distance. Flat rate options are available. No increase for the starting price of Priority rates is expected.
Parcel Post Rates

Parcel Post is a low-cost alternative for packages. It can take anywhere from 2 to 9 days for delivery. Prices start at $3.67 and can vary depending on weight and distance. The price will increase to start at $4.90.
Media Mail Rates

If you have books, magazines, film, manuscripts, sound recordings, video tapes, CDs, DVDs and diskettes, you can use Media Mail. Prices start at $2.23 and vary based on weight. The price will increase to start at $2.38.
