Foods That Contain Lipids & Protein

Save

Lipids are fat-soluble compounds and nutrients that offer energy and help to strengthen cells as well. Protein does much of the same, and is important in building muscle. Every diet needs to have a balanced amount of these things to be healthy, and by adding the following foods to your diet, you can make sure to get the right amount into your body.

Eggs

  • These are a great source of protein and one of the best breakfast foods around. They are also a good source of lipids, such as vitamin D.

Broccoli

  • Another great source of protein and a great vegetable all around. It has vitamin E and omega-3 fatty acids, both of which are important lipids.

Tofu

  • Tofu is an even better source of protein that is a good way for vegetarians to get what they need. It also is high in certain lipids, such as potassium.

Salmon

  • A typical serving of salmon can give you over half of your daily preferred dose of protein. It also is high in omega-3 fatty acids, one of the best kinds of lipid.

Garlic

  • Garlic is a good source of the lipid vitamin C. It also helps to provide some protein to your diet.
