Dental radiology involves taking x-rays of the teeth and jaw required by dentists, malpractice insurance carriers and dental insurance carriers before any dental treatment can be rendered. It is not a separate entity and is included in the job description of dental hygienists and dental assistants.

  4. Dental Assistants

  5. Dental assistants can receive on the job training, take high school or vocational school courses, attend technical institutes or enroll in colleges offering an associates degree in dental assisting.
