Type-A influenza, or the flu, is the most common form of the influenza virus. It is also considered the most dangerous since the ever-evolving quality of type-A influenza strains can lead to severe flu epidemics. Chills are often the first sign a person has been infected with the type-A influenza virus. Flu sufferers typically feel a chilly sensation and might even start shivering.
Aches

Type-A influenza can cause moderate to severe body aches and headaches. The body aches are usually felt all over the body, and can be particularly painful in the back, arms and legs.

Another common symptom of type-A influenza is fever. Patients typically run fevers between 101 to 103 degrees F, and a child's fever might run even even higher.
