Lubar Pneumonia Symptoms

Someone who is suffering from lobar pneumonia would have pneumonia in a portion of the lung, be it the superior lobe (the uppermost segment), the middle lobe (the central segment) or the interior lobe (the bottommost segment). Of course, it may also affect more than just one portion of a person's lung, but it is characterized by the lobe. It is usually caused by an infection of the streptococcus bacteria, but may be from another type of bacteria. Certain signs and symptoms that may indicate that a person is suffer from lobar pneumonia.

    • As the body tries to fight the infection that caused the lobar pneumonia, it will eventually result in some exhaustion or fatigue from the sufferer.

    Shortness of Breath

    • Much like the cough, the effect lobar pneumonia has on the lungs could result in some shortness of breath. This will typically run the course of the infection.
