Copper Bracelets for Health Issues

Copper bracelets have been used for centuries for healing purposes. From kings to pharaohs, individuals suffering from minor pains and ailments such as arthritis have turned to copper for relief. This natural metal, when placed on the skin, will absorb only when needed by the body. Once absorbed into the body, the properties in the copper serve a number of different functions.

  1. History of Copper Bracelets

    • Wearing copper in the form of a bracelet or necklace has been seen since the ancient Egyptians. Since copper is a mineral that humans need in only small amounts, this method is optimal. As the copper is worn, your body will only absorb the amount you need.

Collagen is the material used for healing wounds. As wounds heal more quickly, you are less likely to experience infection. Additionally, hemoglobin is a main component of your blood. Copper will also increase the processing of iron and zinc through the bloodstream.

    For the Immune System

    • Copper that is absorbed in to the skin will also be absorbed by infectious microorganisms in your body. In these cases, the copper acts as a poison toward the microorganism. As these harmful microorganisms die off, your immune system functioning will increase.

    For Pain and Arthritis

    • Arthritis and much pain associated with the joint is inflammation. As copper is absorbed into the skin, the properties in the copper produce temporary relief of this pain. While some claim copper has no effect, many people have experienced pain relief from this method.

    Side Effects

    • Wearing a copper bracelets has few to no side effects. Due to the nature of copper, it is possible to find blue/green marks on the skin where the copper is in direct contact. However, these marks are not harmful and can easily be washed off. Those with overly sensitive skin may want to consult a physician prior to wearing a copper bracelet.
