Lavender

Adding lavender to your dog's bed can repel ticks. Lavender is a natural insecticide that is also effective against bacteria.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is another natural remedy for ticks. Apple cider vinegar can be added to your dog's water, or it can be used in the bath. Add three or four cups of apple cider vinegar to your dog's bath for best results.
Brewer's Yeast

When all else fails, or when your dog only has only one tick, it may be easier to just remove it. Grab a pair of tweezers and gently pull the tick from the head. Make sure you get it all. Leaving the pinchers in the dog can sometimes cause skin irritation.
