Light therapy is a relatively new treatment for acne. It uses devices tuned to specific light waves that have a healing effect on the skin. The acne light is comprised of blue and red lights. The blue needs to be tuned between 405 and 420 nm, or nanometers, and the red light needs to be tuned between 655 and 665 nm.

    Holistic

  1. Using a light to treat acne will allow you to treat your face holistically, without the use of commercial chemical creams.
  2. Helps Scars

  3. Acne lights have a positive effect on acne, diminishing redness and helping to lessen the appearance of scarring (see Resources below).
  4. Works Fast

  5. People have seen improvement in as little as three days using an acne light, though results do vary.
  6. Anti inflammatory

  7. Using an acne light routinely has an anti inflammatory effect on the skin. This can reduce acne in the skin over time.
  8. Where to Buy

  9. You can find acne lights online. The most popular brand on the market today is the Acne Lamp (see Resources below).
