Lemons are a great source of vitamin C, but there are many other benefits to the fruit as well. Lemon water helps aid in digestion, elimination and antioxidants.

    Rise and Shine

  1. When it comes to a glowing complexion and an aid for weight loss, look no further than a morning dose of lemon water. A quick squeeze in an 8-oz. glass of water helps rejuvenate the skin with vitamin C, which also kick-starts metabolism and bowel function.
  2. In Sickness and In Health

  3. Lemons boost the immune system and help fight off infections. A daily dose will help ward off colds, stomach disorders and serious infection. Lemons have strong antibacterial properties. Therefore, they are good in preventing several bacteria-caused illnesses, including the stomach flu.
  4. Antioxidant

  5. Lemons are an excellent source of antioxidants. Antioxidants rid the body of toxins as well as the free radicals that cause aging.
  6. Properties

  7. Lemons are rich in vitamin C and PP, as well as citric acid and calcium.
  8. Suggestions

  9. In addition to drinking lemon water, try adding a few slices of lemon, limes or oranges to ice water or tea.
