Deciding on whether to try something new and purchase a hybrid car over a conventional gas car can be a task if you're unsure of why you'd want one over the other. The car sales representative will tell you anything to get you to buy the hybrid, but paying attention to the basics of the hybrid and the sign in the window can help make the purchase that much easier.

    Better Gas Mileage

  1. Some hybrid cars have better mileage than conventional cars. Pay attention to driving mileage on the highway and city streets.
  2. Emissions Test

  3. Hybrid cars tend to be less likely to pollute the environment, which means it's next to impossible to fail an emissions test. Some states may not even require emissions test for hybrid cars.
  4. Fewer Gas Station Stops

  5. Because hybrid cars and trucks tend to burn less gas or oil, the driver can cut pit stops to gas stations almost in half.
  6. Save Money

  7. E85 oil, the oil sold at gas stations to fill up hybrid tanks, tends to cost less than regular gas.
  8. Same Perks

  9. Hybrids can provide the same perks as a regular gas-guzzling car, including accessories like rain system wipers and a heated steering wheel.
  10. Pay By Choice

  11. Some hybrid automobiles run on E85 oil and gas, so if a driver is unable to find a gas station that sells E85, regular gas will do.
  12. Help Stop Global Warming

  13. Environmentalists will appreciate being able to drive a hybrid car that will help stop global warming. Hybrid cars will get a driver around without adding to growing pollution.
