Low carbohydrate snack foods are an excellent way to boost and sustain energy levels. These snacks are typically easy to prepare, like raw vegetables, and can be eaten on the run. Some low-carb snack foods offer a rich source of protein that satisfies hunger pangs. Foods high in protein, like shellfish and peanut butter, metabolize slowly and do not have a high sugar content.
