Warning Signs for Ovarian Cancer

Early warning signs of ovarian cancer weren't widely publicized until the year 2007. It was once called the silent killer, because by the time patients realized there was a problem, the cancer had normally already spread to other parts of the body.

    Abdominal

  1. Abdominal swelling, bloating, pain, pressure or feeling full can be early-warning signs of ovarian cancer. This type of pain can spread into your back.
  2. Pelvic

  3. Pelvic pain, pelvic pressure, vaginal bleeding, vaginal discharge and pain during intercourse have been known to be warning signs of ovarian cancer.
  4. Urinary and Gastrointestinal

  5. Urinary problems such as urgency, burning and spasms are early warning signs, as well as gas, indigestion, nausea and changes in bowel movements.
  6. Weight

  7. Appetite loss, unexplained weight gain and unexplained weight loss are also warning signs of ovarian cancer.
  8. Most Common

  9. The most common symptom of ovarian cancer is abdominal pain that lasts for longer than two weeks. This pain will not be associated with diarrhea or vomiting.
  10. Diagnosis

  11. Diagnosing ovarian cancer is not always easy. The symptoms are also symptoms of many other conditions, as well as other cancers.
