Early Fibromyalgia Symptoms

Fibromyalgia is a condition that affects at least two percent of the population, according to the Mayo Clinic. Many times this condition goes undiagnosed, but it can still be the underlying cause for many unknown aches and pains.

    Significance

  1. Fibromyalgia patients complain of pain that occurs in different parts of the body. It involves all four quadrants of the body, not necessarily just in one spot.
  2. Features

  3. When a fibromyalgia flare up occurs, there are usually eleven to eighteen sore pressure points on the body. When pressed or touched, pain is there.
  4. Symptoms

  5. Pain in the body moves around. The pain may travel from one area of the body to another. Or, it may exist as a chronic pain in a particular area.
  6. History

  7. This condition primarily occurs in women childbearing age. Men can be affected with fibromyalgia, but women have seen to be the affected by it.
  8. Considerations

  9. There are nondefining symptoms of this condition. It may cause night sweats, fatigue, memory difficulties and cognitive difficulties.
  10. Considerations

  11. Depression and mood disorders may also be associated with ones who suffer from fibromyalgia and also blurry vision, irritable bowel syndrome and even fluctuations in weight.
