- Some people are able to cope with the loss of a loved one, but others, such as children or a spouse, may have a hard time dealing with it.
- Don't hesitate to seek grief counseling and therapy or find a support group to help surviving friends and family members cope with the loss (see Resources below).
- People can never be prepared for the emotional grief that comes with the loss of a loved one, even if they know the person is dying.
- Try not to take your grief out on others because it can cause a rift over a situation that was not anyone's fault.
- Some people believe that after a person dies, he moves on to an afterlife or possibly is reincarnated.
