That simple concept has evolved into cars and trucks being able to hop or jump upwards of six feet off the ground with the help of a hydraulic system.

Types

A car with a basic hydraulic lift kit has one pump to power all 4-wheel hydraulic lifts and a car with an advanced hydraulic lift kit has a separate pump to power the hydraulic lift on each wheel.

In some cases, if the hydraulics stop working properly, you will be unable to drive the vehicle until the hydraulics are repaired, which can be costly.
