If you are a frequent traveler or if you simply fall asleep when sitting still, a travel pillow is a necessity for you. With a travel pillow in tow, no matter where you go or how long it takes for you to reach your destination, you will be able to nap comfortably without causing stiffness in your back and neck.

    Function

  1. Travel pillows are made to support your head and neck when you are forced to sleep while sitting in an upright position. Travel pillows have been created to be toted around undetected and to be used in less than desirable locations, such as an airport, plane, vehicle, or even when you have no ther option than to rest on the ground.
  2. Features

  3. Travel pillows can be purchased in the popular neck roll design, or in a square not much larger than your head. Other fancier features might include a battery-operated neck vibrator, a hot-cold pack feature or even an mp3 plug-in.
  4. Size

  5. To be considered a travel pillow, it should not measure more than 12 inches long. Size matters when you are packing light or taking your pillow on an airplane.
  6. Benefits

  7. Other than supporting your head and neck, travel pillows are also more sanitary than resting your head on the headrest that has been shared by hundreds of travelers before you.
  8. Prevention/Solution

  9. Some travel pillows are not to be placed in the washer. If your travel pillow is not washable, insert it into a pillowcase.
  10. Types

  11. Some travel pillows are stuffed with down, which makes it easy to store inside a small carrying pouch. Other travel pillows are made of memory foam, which are extremely comfortable but harder to pack.
