Artificial Ivy Plants

Ivy reproductions are difficult to distinguish from the real plants.

Artificial ivy plants add a homey feeling to indoor and outdoor decor. Ivy imitators have some benefits over their real counterparts including not being susceptible to diseases, insect infestations and death from neglect. You can choose from a wide variety of sizes and artificial species.

Materials

Silk and polyester are common materials used to make artificial ivy plants. The materials are cut and colored to give the plants a lifelike appearance. Wire and plastic are added to help individual leaves and stems hold their position.

Uses

Artificial ivy plants can be kept in containers around your home, garden and office to imitate real plants. They can also be used to make crafts, wreaths and a number of other projects.

Care

You can take indoor plants outside and spray them well with a garden hose and sprayer to remove dust. Let them dry before you return them to their places. If your ivy plant is attached to other materials, such as plastic foam, you can use a damp cloth and wipe the leaves individually.
