One of my favorite holiday is coming up: 4th of July! A day where you hang out with friends, BBQ and watch fireworks is always a great one. I will admit that wearing the combo of red, white and blue is not my favorite, so I like to just add pops of the patriotic colors into my wardrobe for the day.

I had a pair of blue sunglasses that I had not worn in a while, so gave them a good old fashion American makeover. The technique is simple, and you can experiment with different patterns: dots, stripes, and even tiny stars!

Supplies for 4th of July Sunglasses

What you need:

Red, white, and silver nail polish

Paint white stripes of nail polish on blue sunglasses

What to do:
Simply paint stripes on your sunglasses.
Let each color dry after painting one color, then continue on to the next.

Paint silver stripes of nail polish next to the white stripes

Paint red stripes of nail polish next to the silver stripes
