Mid-sip at a cocktail party we hosted on Saturday, I noticed some guests were mesmerized by our iPhoto screensaver. We have lots of photos hanging throughout our house – but our screensaver is the only place where one by one any of our 3,000+ photos can get time in the spotlight. We LOVE our photos. They are a constant reminder of the fun times we’ve had and of the fun times yet to come.

One of our guests (a very stylish one who recently rented out her designer loft in Venice, CA for a much more traditional home in a more family-friendly neighborhood in Santa Monica) lit up with excitement and exclaimed, “You have to buy this chandelier!” Well, I’m never one to turn down a shopping recommendation and this chandelier was unlike any other. It turns out she and her husband made the purchase recently – likely to show pictures of their adorable toddler.

Check out the “Wakefield Chandelier” by Pottery Barn. On their site it’s styled with stationary paper – but you can hang photos or other lightweight mementos from clips attached to the frame. It’s on sale for $199. I love the idea of having a signature piece that can be transformed with ease as the seasons change and families grow. For those of you (like me) less inclined to drop $200, here are some alternative options!

Would you use a chandelier like this in your home? If not, what are your favorite ways to display your photos?
