I love stumbling across home decor that’s both beautiful and responsible. Take these tumblers, for instance. Does that shape look familiar to you? If you enjoy a nice glass of wine like this girl does, then it should! They’re made out of recycled (or in this case up-cycled) wine bottles by San Diego-based BottleHood. Wine bottles don’t have a redemption value in California, so 80 percent of them wind up in landfills. Not very eco-chic when you think about the fact that glass takes 4,000 years to decompose. BottleHood Founders take the landfill bound bottles and turn them into glasses, vases and kitchenware.

These multicolored tumblers would look beautiful at a summer barbeque, or even arranged nicely in your kitchen cabinets, adding pops of luminous color to the room. Is it any coincidence that my many BottleHood glasses are green? I think not. Find out more at www.bottlehood.com.
