Finding a Green Way to Clean

I’m Leslie Reichert and I’m known as “the cleaning coach.”  I’m just a crazy blonde who loves to educate people in what I call “the art of homekeeping.”  I’m considered the expert in green cleaning, which has led to a career in radio and TV.  I’ve worked with Martha Stewart Living Radio, Woman’s Day Magazine and Better TV among others.  I also help celebrity chefs show people how to avoid using hazardous chemicals around food.  I’ve especially liked meeting Paula Deen, Rachel Ray and Ming Tsai.  Who wouldn’t love having me stop by and clean up after they’ve put together a gourmet meal!

A few years ago, I wrote a book called The Joy of Green Cleaning.  It was my way of trying to help you understand that there are alternative ways to clean your home; and I didn’t say it was going to make cleaning fun – just bring some joy to cleaning so you can have a better, healthier life.  I’ve always loved helping others and solving problems, but I never imagined that my background in chemical engineering would lead me to helping people make their own green cleaners.

I now realize that all of my life experiences up to this point have enabled me help others find alternative cleaners.  Along with the old-fashioned recipes in my book, I have found some great new technologies that take the chemicals out of people’s homes.  I want to share what I’ve discovered with you and give you an ‘aha’ moment to makes you stop and think.  You may realize that the things you are spraying into you home could be affecting your health and the health of your children and pets.

I’m very excited to be joining eHow as an expert.  Together we will be showing you simple tips and tricks for making cleaning fun, fast, green and totally clean.  I’ll be sharing lots of ideas and recipes I’ve collected over the past few years.  I hope that I can help you change your world – “one spray bottle at a time.”  Happy Cleaning!
