7 Outward Warning Signs of Suicide


National Suicide Prevention Week, September 7 through 13, raises awareness of suicide. The statistics are shocking — approximately 40,000 suicides take place in the U.S. each year, according to statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Think about that. This means that every day in the U.S. more than 100 people die by their own hands. (It’s the third leading cause of death among young people, ages 15 to 24.) People considering suicide often give warning signs—and knowing them could help save a life.
