Gas Station Clerk Fired After His Note to the Boss Goes Viral
When Joe Blumm’s shift at a West Michigan gas station ended, his manager never showed up to relieve him. After waiting an hour, Blumm closed shop and left a note (posted below) for his tardy boss on the front door. That’s one way to communicate with your boss–this is how we suggest you go about it. Why Is SeaWorld Giving Its Whales Sedatives?
According to recent documents, SeaWorld has been giving its killer whales sedatives from the same family of drugs as Xanax and Valium that that are used on humans. While SeaWorld claims this is common practice, animal activists insist it is to treat the whales’ mental disturbances that come from being in captivity, which can cause extreme behaviors like chewing concrete and banging their heads. OkCupid Slams Mozilla CEO in Message to Firefox Users
Dating site OkCupid blocked its site yesterday just for Firefox users, with this message: “Mozilla’s CEO, Brendan Eich, is an opponent of equal rights for gay couples. We would therefore prefer that our users not use Mozilla software to access OkCupid,” it read in part, with links to other browsers at the bottom.
