I have always enjoyed wrapping gifts in creative ways. I especially love the natural texture and look of kraft paper and find by simply adding a bow and a little greenery, it can become a beautiful parcel.

Adding this handmade watercolor tag is the cherry on top.

Things You’ll Need

  • Watercolor paper, blank gift tag or blank card stock for the printable
  • Watercolors (I used Winsor & Newton professional series)
  • Pencil
  • Fine brush No. 0
  • Water basin
  • Fine-tipped pen or marker
  • Tag punch or regular and scalloped scissors (optional, for printable)

tagstep1

Lightly draw two vertical curves that almost make a circle.

tagstep2

Draw stems and leaves.

tagstep3

Continue all the way around.

tagstep5

Mix your paint, and with a fine brush, fill in the leaves.

tagstep6

Add little dots for berries if you wish.

tagstep7

After the paint dries completely, write a message in the center of the wreath with a fine-tipped marker or pen.
