Driving laws in most states are perfectly clear when it comes to driving under the influence of alcohol. It can simply be described as "three strikes and you're out." While each state has its own set of acceptable alcohol levels, most of them will have zero tolerance for people under age 21.
Clackamas County, Oregon has the same DUI laws as all of Oregon. Drivers with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or higher are considered to be driving under the influence. Commercial drivers -- such as truck drivers and bus drivers -- are considered driving under the influence if they have a BAC of 0.04 or higher, and drivers under the age of 21 are considered driving under the influence with a BAC of 0.02 or higher. Fines and penalties are applied for each DUI offense.
