Laminate Is Not Repairable

Although laminate flooring is very durable and resists many of the abrasives that damage other flooring types, the damage that does occur often requires a complete replacement of the floor. According to the interior design website Decorator Secrets, laminate flooring cannot be repaired. Instead, laminate owners must replace the flooring after damage, as gouges and scuffs that penetrate the laminate pass through the decorative outer layer and leave only the interior wood fibers exposed.
