How Much Should a Seven Month Old Baby Weigh?
-
Average Weight
-
The average weight of a seven month old baby is 17.64 pounds. A one pound fluctuation either way completes the average range so it is really 16.64 to 18.64 pounds.

Prematurity and Other Factors Alter Weight
-
Premature babies tend to be smaller at birth so will likely weigh less. If your child was premature you need to factor this into his weight. Other factors include illness which may have caused weight loss, a loss of appetite due to growing, or a change in appetite which may have him eating more or less than normal. These factors can all affect a baby's weight and put him outside the "average weight range."
Bottom Line
-
As long as your baby is gaining an average of 1 to 1.25 pounds each month past the age of six months, his weight is perfectly fine.
