What Hardwood Flooring Will Look Good With Dark Furniture?

Pale Flooring Gives Contrast

Wood flooring that is lightly stained or unstained and has a pale beige color will provide a stark contrast to furniture made with dark woods or stains and, in so doing, will highlight your furniture by drawing the eye to it. Beige, in particular, is a neutral color and will look good with wood in dark colors of brown, red or black.

Alternate Darks Have a Rich Look

Though it can be a bit more tricky to get right, pairing two types of dark wood will create a rich, somber look, provided you can create a pairing with complementary color. This technique works best with dark woods of contrasting colors, such as a black-stained wood on red flooring.
