You will need a lawyer to get a visa after 90 days in Panama. If you stay in Panama longer than 90 days, you must obtain a Migratory Status Visa. To do this, you will need to hire a lawyer before the 90th day. This costs approximately $250, and approval for this status is not guaranteed

this is a bad refrence for 2 reasons maybe 3 reasons first they changed the law now you can go to panama for 6 months and do not need the visa from the airport 2 after 6 months you can go to costa rica and re enter panama for another 6 months and 3 you do not have to pay 250 to get a extension.
